Keeping cats or dogs apparently can affect a person's nature. Based on research undertaken researchers at the University of California, Berkeley, the United States, people who keep cats tend to be more easily agitated, while keeping the dog described as being open more easily to others.
Research published in the Journal of Applied Animal Welfare Science done on more than 1000 pet owners. Through this research, examined parenting styles and personality traits of people who identified as "type a cat", "dog" type, type two, or does both. The most surprising result is apparently the person expressing the excess compassion to animals pet is rated as the most thorough and most agitated rapid.
Through other research from University of Winconsin Carroll found that cat-keeping intelligence has a value higher than the dog-keepers. Dog-keeping votes is more energetic and more easily socialize the cat-keeping rather than too strict regulations. Professor Denise Guatello said that keeping cats tend to be more introverted, sensitive, and open minded than dog-keepers. They were also more expertly while out of the regulation. According to Professor Guatello, this is caused by the difference in the type of environment-keeping cats or dogs to their usual encounter.
As for on the research of Dr. Sam Gosling, in 2010 at the University of Texas, disclosed that the keepers of dogs tend to be more extroverted, but no so open with new experiences. Whereas the keeping of cats is faster on edge, but tend to be more creative and adventurous.
