In the United States, more than 50000 kitten dog born & each day. Of the many dogs and cats this is only 1/5 of his was able to get home, the rest are wandering wild, neglected or getting rough treatment. Each year, the 6-8 million dogs entered this cat & animal shelter and about half (3-4 million) must be euthanasia because no one wants to keep them. In the United States there are about 4000-6000 shelter dogs & cat. Compare with Indonesia which has only a few animal shelter.
Although there has been no thorough research about the population of dogs/cats of the wild population, in some places they felt began to increase and if not immediately treated, can cause the over population. Though not yet feels intrusive, some animal compassionate community & began to feel the increasing population of cat-cat. Control of the population perceived the need to reduce the number of feral cats who "suffer" because it didn't get an abode in the form of livelihood food & deserves. In addition to the issue of animal welfare, control of populations can also reduce the risk of spread of disease transmission &-disease that can be transmitted to humans such as Rabies, Toxoplasmosis, etc.

The cheapest way to control the population of cats belong to you, is to prevent your tabby mating. Separate your female cat from Stud. Especially when being of lust/ask for mating. The weakness in this way is, sometimes the signs of lust not once was observed, and so observed mating already cat first.
The reproductive cycle of female cats can be paused with the synthetic hormone injection. The hormones used are usually medroksiprogesteron which is also used by humans to contraception program. A one-time injection of the reproductive cycle can be control contraception tabby until 2-3 months. But for the long term, this method is not good because it can increase the risk of pyometra exposed tabby (inflammation/pus in the uterus).
The term neuter (United Kingdom) construed as the disposal of all or most of the reproductive organs. Although the neuter words are common, can be for males, females in its use & neuter more often refer to the male animal.
The term sterile for the male animal often called castration. Parallel in English is the language of medical castration is often called orchidektomi. I.e. testicular organ which is a throw-producing spermatozoa through the surgical process/operations. Neuter it is permanent.
Spay a female animal intended for. That is disposing of the uterus and reproductive organs or ovaries (ovarian) through the process of operation. In a medical term called a hysterectomy (her womb alone disposed of), ovariektomi (the ovaries are discarded) or when disposed of her uterus and ovaries all at once is called a ovariohisterektomi, OH (read: O Ha). Spay/neuter, like OH it's too permanent.
We can do do
-Control the population of cats belong to you by preventing/reducing the unwanted marriage.
-Control your cat's reproductive cycle with syringe KB or better yet sterile through the process of surgery/operation.
-Socialize the problem of cat overpopulation-these wild cats to others so that they realize & can take appropriate action to help control the population.
-Work closely with Foundation/animal lover community to jointly control the population of wild cats-cat.
